All classes and workshops at Just Yoga are conducted by teachers who hold the international Iyengar® Yoga Certification Mark, a symbol of excellence and authenticity in teaching the Iyengar method in its purest form.
Our teachers are dedicated to the practice and teaching of Iyengar Yoga. They maintain and develop their teaching abilities by attending Workshops, Conventions, Classes and training with more senior Iyengar teachers.
Melanie is the current proprietor of Just Yoga and has been involved since it opened in 1993. "I started practising Iyengar® yoga in 1991, originally to help with a problematic back. My back grew stronger and my interest turned to the educational process of yoga. I was inspired to start teacher training in 1998. Yoga has enriched all aspects of my life."
Melanie has studied with the Iyengar family in the UK and in Pune India.
Melanie has held the Intermediate Junior Level 3 certificate since 2007.
Nathalie has been practicing Yoga for over 35 years, and has been teaching full time for the last 15. She has taught one-to-one sessions, small groups, workshops, and very large classes, and appreciates the different approaches that these necessitate. She regularly studies at the Iyengar Yoga Institute in Pune (India), and over the years has attended workshops and conventions with several of the leading teachers of Iyengar Yoga. She holds a Senior 2 Level Certificate, which qualifies her to do remedial work, themed workshops, and also to teach pregnant women.
Nathalie is qualified to teach at Senior intermediate Level 2.

I am dedicated to sharing this joy with others in teaching Iyengar Yoga.”
Helen has studied with the Iyengar family in Pune India.
Helen is qualified to teach Junior Intermediate Level 3.

Hilary holds the Introductory Level 2 certificate.
"I have been practicing Iyengar Yoga since 1984. I first taught at the Just Yoga studio shortly after I qualified as a teacher in 1995, and after a long break have now returned.
I am married with two grown sons, live in Burgess Hill, and also work as a graphic designer. I have always found Iyengar Yoga to be a great support in my domestic and working life and take great pleasure in passing it's benefits onto others.
I hold the the Introductory and Junior Intermediate Level 3 certificates."

The glimpses of stillness and peace I experienced hooked me to yoga for life. I believe yoga is for every body and I am committed to sharing with others the many benefits Iyengar yoga has brought to my body, mind and spirit. In my classes, I provide a supportive and friendly space where students can journey inward as they lengthen, align and find balance in the poses.
I am qualified to teach at Introductory Level 2.
Susan does not currently have a regular class at Just Yoga however she does frequently cover holidays for us.
Susan is qualified to teach Junior Intermediate Level 1.
